Men in Drag (no men, occasional drag) is an all-female student a cappella group at the University of Chicago. The members of Men in Drag embrace all that the name implies, challenging gender conventions, bringing swag to all-female a cappella, and holding themselves to a high standard of modern musical entertainment. Whether they are rocking out or breaking it down, the ladies of Men in Drag are always ready to shake things up. In 2009, Men in Drag released their first professionally-produced album, "No Pants, No Problem." Their recording of "Almost Lover" was one of A Cappella Records' most downloaded tracks in 2010. In April 2012, Men in Drag filmed their first-ever music video, and traveled to Boston to compete in the Boston Sings Festival Collegiate Competition, where they placed fourth. In 2012, Men in Drag released their second studio album, "Late Nights, Parades," which was nominated for a total of 5 CARA awards, winning Best Scholastic Original and Best Female Collegiate Arrangement. They also competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella for the first time, when they won fourth place at the Chicago Quarterfinal. They are currently recording their next album, and their first single from the album ("Coming Undone") will be released in fall 2013. Check them out at menindrag.org!
